Autism and Adaptive Behaviour Assessment Cost

Initial Consultation	$210 per hour	Payable on day of consultation
An observation session of the child, using the Autism Diagnostic Observation Scale (ADOS-2).	$240 per hour	Payable on day of consultation.
Report – Administration and scoring – Report writing and interpretation	$210 per hour	It is estimated to approximately take 3 hours and is payable on day of final consultation. Reports are unable to be released until payment is received.
Feedback Consultation	$210 per hour	Payable on day of consultation.

Notes Sometimes additional assessments will be required for the diagnostic process (e.g., cognitive assessment, educational assessment). If additional assessments are required, this will be an additional cost and communicated to you.

Cognitive and Adaptive Behaviours Assessment Cost

Initial Consultation and Administration of WISC-V	$240 per hour	Payable on day of consultation
Report – Scoring, report writing and interpretation	$210 per hour	It is estimated to approximately take 1.5 hours and is payable on the day of final consultation. Reports are unable to be released until payment is received.

Educational Assessment/Academic Achievement Testing Cost

Initial Consultation and Administration of WIAT-III	$240 per hour	Payable on the day of consultation (Minimum 2 sessions required to administer WIAT)
Report – Scoring, report writing and interpretation	$210 per hour	It is estimated to approximately take 1.5 hours and is payable on day of final consultation. Reports are unable to be released until payment is received.
Feedback Consultation	$210 per hour	Payable on day of consultation.
Total	$1005	This is an estimate only.

Additional Costs:

Non-contact activities are required at times. Non-contact time activities may include but are not limited to: assessment scoring, reviewing other professional’s reports, writing reports, letter writing, preparation/clean-up of therapy sessions, intellectual time to research and develop resources, resource-making, writing up of notes, emails, phone calls, client-related clinical research, home/school programs, stakeholder meetings etc.
The cost of non-contact activities are $210 per hour for a Psychologist and $156.16 for a Counsellor. Non-contact activities are charged in increments of 15 minutes.

Cancellation Policy:

Due to overwhelming demand for services, we reserve the right to cancel further sessions if two consecutive sessions are cancelled or not attended without a reasonable explanation being provided in a timely manner. Our staff reserves the right to reschedule or cancel appointments at any time when deemed necessary due to staff illness or other unforeseen circumstances. If, for some reason you need to cancel or postpone your appointment, please give our service at least 48 hours notice, otherwise you may be charged up to 90% of the session fee.

Payment Policy:

Payment is required on the day of service or within a seven day period where a service agreement is in place. Payments (including payment of late cancellation or non-attendance fees) must be received prior to confirmation of any future appointments.

The fees outlined above are consistent with the NDIS Price Guidelines 2021 – 2022. The fees outlined are lower than the Australian Psychological Society recommended fee (APS currently recommends a fee of $267 for a 46 – 60 minute consultation).
